Melt-in-your-mouth Peanut Butter Cookies

¾ cup butter or margarine
¼ cup shortening (butter flavored works great)
1 ¼ cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup Splenda Sugar Blend
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt (OPTIONAL)
2 Tblsp water

In a mixing bowl, cream together butter (margarine), shortening, peanut butter, and vanilla. When all blended, add sugar and cream well.

In a small bowl, mix together: flour, baking soda, and salt. Add alternately with water to creamed mixture.

Form dough (about 1 tsp) into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten in a criss-cross pattern with a fork. (If you dip fork into Splenda first it will help to avoid sticking).

Bake at 350° for 15-18 minutes. Let cookies cool slightly on pan before moving to cooling rack.

Makes about 3-4 dozen.
